Marianna Penga

Textile Designer Marianna Penga works cross-discipline in the fields of fashion, art, and interiors. With an avant-garde approach to textiles she is treating fabric in a way that is both experimental and innovative.

Fascinated by the manipulation and plasticity of materials, her designs emerge from the patterns and shapes in nature. Bold colours and organic forms to three-dimensional designs, encapsulated in signature prints on fabric, for fashion and interior textiles.

Marianna works on commissions for Interior companies, fashion designers and Art Museums; recent projects include a collaboration for a capsule beachwear range, wallpaper and carpet collections for Interior companies and participation in art exhibitions.

A graduate of Central Saint Martins/ UAL, Marianna specialized in Textile Futures, freelancing for fashion designers; Julien McDonald, Simon Wang, Pantelis Panteli and participated in International Trade Fairs; Pulse, Top Drawer, Pure London and Éclat De Mode Paris under her own label.

Returning to Cyprus, Marianna worked on commissions for the Zambelas Art Museum and Handicraft Centre Nicosia, while participating at Handmade in Britain at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and exhibited at  Larnaca Municipal Gallery. In recent years she produced luxury home furnishings for villas in Mykonos in collaboration with Stroke Design Studio, designed wallpaper and carpet collections for Yo2 Design and launched a beachwear range with menswear designer Kristo Avraam.

Marianna's motto is: “design is life”.
